Pi Month Event 3 OpenCv with Pi Cam - CVUO - uottawa events.jpg

To celebrate Pi Month, IEEE and Ottabotics have partnered to create a set of workshop letting you go from Raspberry Pi newbie to project ready! These events are BYOP (Bring your own Pi) though if you cannot find a Raspberry Pi we will have a handful of boards people can use for the event.

In this workshop, we will be showing you how to use OpenCV ( a popular Computer Vision library) to do object recognition as well as how that can be used on Pi for a variety of projects.

These workshops are intended for beginners, we recommend attending the introduction workshop for those new to Pi but all workshops are intended to be accessible for everyone! If you are looking to get a Raspberry Pi for the events, our organizers have had good experience with the markerstore (found at the makerspace) and [BuyAPi.ca](http://buyapi.ca) (though we have no affiliation with ether store, just personal experiences ordering in the past).
