WHEN: Thursday, March 14th 5:30-7:00 PM

WHERE: University of Ottawa Main Campus (MRT 256)

COST: FREE (includes free food/drinks)

Who can participate, and how?
• Students from any program can participate!
• Either form your own interprofessional team or join one with other individual students upon arrival

How does it work?
• Before we get to the challenge, hear from several university professors who have a background in our case topic and healthcare communication that will give short presentations.
• Next, teams will be provided with information on a case study and will prepare an interprofessional care plan.
• Each team will present their care plans to our panel of judges, and prizes will be awarded to the top teams!

Our panel of judges include:
• Marc-Antoine Deschamps, Superintendent Public Information, Ottawa Paramedic Service
• Rosann Edwards, Public Health Nurse, Ottawa Public Health
• Karine Landart, Health Link Care Coordinator, Champlain Local Health Integration Network (LHIN)

How are the teams judged?
The speakers will judge each presentation on patient/client/family-centered approach, quality of care plans, collaboration, communication, feasibility, originality, and presentation approach. Get creative as a team!
